The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced an exciting new initiative to introduce digital advertising boards throughout Islamabad, inspired by the iconic Times Square in New York City. This decision was unveiled during a recent meeting focused on the 2024 advertising policy for the capital.

The meeting, chaired by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, highlighted the city’s shift from traditional advertising methods to modern digital displays. The new policy aims to revitalize the city’s advertising landscape by replacing conventional billboards and posters with dynamic digital boards.

According to a statement from the CDA, these digital boards will be strategically installed along highways, main avenues, commercial hubs, and bus stops. The goal is to enhance the visual appeal of Islamabad while aligning its advertising practices with global standards.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of quickly finalizing and implementing this new policy. The introduction of digital boards is part of a broader effort to modernize the city’s infrastructure and services, making advertising more efficient and engaging. The digital format offers a more dynamic platform for advertisers and helps manage and regulate advertising spaces more effectively, ensuring the city’s landscape remains organized and visually pleasing.

This initiative is expected to generate additional revenue for Islamabad while providing businesses with a modern and effective way to reach their audience.
